Teen sought in shooting death of man in Annapolis

16-year-old boy is wanted on murder, assault charges

Annapolis police have identified a teenager as a suspect in the fatal shooting of a city man this month in the Clay Street neighborhood.

Rondell Anthony Medley, 16, of the 1800 block of Bowman Court, is wanted on multiple charges, including first-degree murder and assault, said Officer Hal Dalton, a city police spokesman.

Police say that Medley is being sought in connection with the shooting death of Tarrod Lonta Wallace, 24, about midnight Feb. 2.

Wallace, who had no fixed address but was staying with friends on Copeland Road, was found wounded and bleeding on the sidewalk near the Obery Court public housing complex. He had been shot multiple times.

Dalton would not speculate yesterday about a possible motive in the fatal shooting, although he said the area where it took place has had problems with illegal drug activity.
