Towson falls to JMU, 68-58

David Cooper scored a career-high 19 points and the James Madison men's basketball team used a 22-7 second-half run to defeat Towson, 68-58, last night in Harrisonburg, Va..

The Dukes (6-20, 3-14 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 39-38 with 10:53 left before surging ahead.

Lawrence Hamm had 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Tigers (5-21, 2-14).


Vermont 69, UMBC 51: The host Retrievers (8-16, 3-12 America East) -paced by Matea Pender with 14 points and 10 rebounds - came within one with 8:29 left but got no closer.

Lafayette 68, Navy 58: Kristin Doherty (16 points) led four Leopards in double figures as host Lafayette (5-21, 3-10 Patriot League) beat the Mids (9-17, 5-8).
