Actor Matthew McConaughey will be at The Senator Theatre at 6:30 p.m. on Monday to introduce a special screening of his new film, "Sahara." The screening is for members of the armed forces.

In the film, McConaughey plays explorer Dirk Pitt, based on author Clive Cussler's popular character. The film follows Pitt's adventures as he searches for the Ship of Death, a long-lost Civil War battleship.

Steve Zahn stars as Pitt's sidekick, Al Giordino. Penelope Cruz also stars.

McConaughey has been traveling across the country in an Airstream trailer to promote the film, which opens nationwide April 8. He is also submitting regular reports from the road to MTV.com.
