Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Arrest: Gregory Davenport, 21, was arrested about 11 a.m. yesterday in the 5600 block of Arnhem Road by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a charge of attempted murder. Davenport, of the 1000 block of N. Ellamont St., is charged with shooting Jeremiah Waddy, 20, in or near Waddy's home in the 3200 block of Westmont Ave. about 1 a.m. Jan. 20. Davenport was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Southeastern District

Robbery: Mark Pippins, 34, was walking in the 1700 block of Eastern Ave. about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday when a man armed with a silver-colored revolver stepped from a car and robbed him of $25. The gunman left in a white Pontiac with tags LZM 212.

Southern District

Shooting: Police were seeking a man who fired several shots at another man, 24, wounding him once in the left leg as the victim was talking to friends in the first block of S. Poppleton St. about 8 p.m. Monday. The gunman sped away in an unknown make of car. Though wounded, the victim ran to his home where he stayed for a short time before going to his girlfriend's home. There, he changed clothes and stayed overnight. Shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday, the victim entered the emergency room at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he was treated and was listed in good condition. Police recovered seven shell casings from a semiautomatic handgun at the scene.

Northeastern District

Assault/arrest: Two men were arguing in a house in the 3200 block of Elmley Ave. about 9 p.m. Tuesday when one cut the other in the upper body with a knife. A suspect, 59, was arrested at the scene. The victim, 31, was reported in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Northern District

Burglary: A compact disc player valued at $300 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 600 block of Benninghaus Road.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Shooting: Police were seeking a man and woman in the shooting Monday night of a man at Duke's Motel in the 7900 block of Pulaski Highway. The victim, 31, was walking toward his room about 7:45 p.m. when a gunman seated in a green Pontiac with tinted windows shot him in the left leg. The gunman fled in the car, accompanied by the woman. The victim was treated at an area hospital. Anyone having information about the identity of the couple was urged to call the precinct at 410-887-5000.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: A green 2002 Arctic Cat all-terrain vehicle was stolen Tuesday from a barn in the 2000 block of Old Valley Road.
