Cargile, Charles Melvin

On Sunday, February 13, 2005, CHARLES MELVIN CARGILE, 69 of St. Augustine, FL; at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine following an extended illness. He was born in Long Island, Alabama, grew up in Baltimore and had been a resident of St. Augustine for the past 13 years coming from Baltimore. He was a graduate of the Kenwood High School in Baltimore. He had served in the United States Navy Submarine Reserve. He was a steamfitter in the construction industry. He was a member of Steamfitters Union, former Local #438 in Baltimore and the Moose Lodge in Daytona Beach, FL. He enjoyed boating and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles M. Cargile. Survivng are his wife, Emile Cargile of St. Augustine; three sons, Stephen E. Cargile of Jacksonville, FL, Charles R. Cargile and Donald L. Cargile, both of Baltimore; one daughter, Kristina M. Dealecio of New Windsor, NY; his mother, Viola Cargile of St. Augustine; and six grandchildren. Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Masters Funeral Home of Palatka with Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, Putnam Unit, 600 Zeagler Drive, Palatka, FL 32177. Masters Funeral Home of Palatka is in charge of arrangements.
