Closing arguments

Prosecutors argued that Maurice Blackwell molested Dontee Stokes from 1989 to 1992. They said Stokes is credible and has nothing to gain from pursuing the allegations.

Defense attorneys insisted that Stokes fabricated the story about the former priest to justify his own questions about his sexuality.

Deliberations

The jury deliberated about five hours yesterday, sending a note at 4:40 p.m. that they were unable to agree on any count. The jury is scheduled to resume deliberations this morning at 9:30.
