On February 13, 2005, THOMAS JENKINS, formerly of Baltimore, MD, died at Our Community Hospital in Scotland Neck, NC. He was born in Weldon, NC on April 4, 1904, the son of Jessie and Margaret Eaton Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Hazel Anderson Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins is survived by his daughter, Jeri Campbell and her husband, Albert, of High Point, NC; granddaughters Wanda Harvey of Charlotte, NC and Gwen (Roosevelt) Carter of Hillsborough, NC; grandsons Thomas (Sheila) Harvey of Rich Square, NC and Nicholas (Eleanor) Harvey, Sr. of Kinston, NC. Also surviving are three great-grandsons, Jarvis Harvey of Rocky Mount, NC, Nicholas (Erin) Harvey of Greensboro, NC, and Willie Mills of Kinston, NC; a great-granddaughter, Loriel Harvey of Durham, NC and a great-great-grandson, Nicholas Harvey III, of Greensboro, NC. In addition, he leaves a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mr Jenkins moved from Baltimore to Our Community Hospital-Long Term Care in Scotland Neck, NC in 1996 and received loving care from physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, and other staff at the facility until his death. He considered them and other residents to be his family also. A graveside service will be held at Loudon Park Cemetery, 3801 Frederick Ave., Baltimore, MD on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 11 A.M. Lionel Whidbee Funeral Home, Scotland Neck, NC is in charge of arrangements.
