On Saturday, February 12, 2005, after a long battle with congestive heart failure, DORIS ELAINE HOUCK KELLER, 83, of Hagerstown, MD. During the last eight months of her illness she received an enormous amount of love from her friends and family. Doris was born September 8, 1921, in Carroll County, MD; she was the daughter of the late Charles Daniel and Mary Beck Houck. She grew in Baltimore, MD and graduated from Forest Park High School. She managed "The Style Shop" in Baltimore, was employed by The Equitable Trust Bank and The Council of Churches of Maryland and Deleware. Doris was a distributor for Vanda Beauty Counselor for many years until retiring from that position in 1989. She continued with the company as an area manager and then a counselor until a few months before her death. She was regularly the top salesperson nationwide. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served on a variety of committees, was a member of the church council and taught Sunday School and Confirmation classes. She was a friend to everyone that she met and truly a beautiful lady both inside and out. She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, William N. Keller, Jr.; two daughters, Jane Keller Bjorkman, of Annapolis, MD and Mary Keller Sothoron, of Lexington Park, MD; two sons-in-law and five grandchildren. The Service to celebrate Doris' life will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 15 Randolph Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Quentin J. Fleming will officiate. Burial will be in Highland View Cemetery, Sykesville, MD. Visitation will be Tuesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD, from 5 to 8 P.M.
