Carroll students make Virginia Tech dean's list

Carroll County students attending Virginia Tech were named to the dean's list for the fall semester.

To qualify for the dean's list, students must attempt at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4 grade point average.

Students on the dean's list are:

Marriottsville: Scott M. Culler, a freshman majoring in business in the Pamplin College of Business; Robert J. Law, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering; Kristin E. Schields, a sophomore majoring in marketing management in the Pamplin College of Business.

Mount Airy: Michael P. Uzzo, a sophomore majoring in civil and environmental engineering in the College of Engineering.

Sykesville: Dennis P. Kosyjana, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering; Todd A. Narcross, a senior majoring in secondary education (physical education) in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences; Stephanie L. Wright, a junior majoring in aerospace engineering in the College of Engineering.

Eldersburg: Krista M. Leonard, a junior majoring in animal and poultry science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences; Kacy M. McAllister,a junior majoring in communication in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences; David J. Pohlit, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering; Kevin B. Taylor, a senior majoring in chemical engineering in the College of Engineering.

Woodbine: Katherine E. College, a freshman majoring in university studies at Virginia Tech; Steven D. Fultz, a senior majoring in art and art history in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.

Westminster: Shannan H. Carl, a sophomore majoring in human development in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences; Brittany L. Johnson, a junior majoring in art and art history in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies; Courtney S. Johnson, a senior majoring in chemical engineering in the College of Engineering; Brittany N. Shanks, a freshman majoring in political science in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences; Kenneth E. Sterner, a junior majoring in forestry in the College of Natural Resources; Sarah E. Marble, a freshman majoring in architecture in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.

Millers: Daniel A. Schultz, a junior majoring in architecture in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies; Tilghman A. Shamer, a junior majoring in architecture in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.

Hampstead: Christina M. Smith, a sophomore majoring in finance in the Pamplin College of Business.

Finksburg: Sarah A. Brauning, a junior majoring in dairy science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences; Ann R. Parker, a junior majoring in biology in the College of Science.
