School jazz concert scheduled for Feb. 20

The Harford County Public Schools' All-County Jazz Ensemble will be held at 4 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Edgewood High School auditorium, 2100 Cedar Drive.

Christopher Vadala, director of jazz studies at the University of Maryland, will be the guest conductor.

The concert is free.

Students at Cecil college named to president's list

NORTH EAST - Cecil Community College has announced that Christina Darling of Havre de Grace and Tara Lundon and Kim Solberg, both of Bel Air, made the president's list for the fall semester. To qualify for the president's list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.75 or better for that semester and be carrying at least 12 semester hours.

Part-time students Rahilla Bachu of Havre de Grace and Michelle Fender of Abingdon were also named to the president's list for the fall semester by maintaining a GPA of 3.75 or better for 15 accumulated hours or more of part-time study.

The college also announced that Nancy Walls of Bel Air made the dean's list for the fall semester. To qualify for the list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.50 to 3.74 for that semester and be carrying at least 12 semester hours.

Information available about careers in health

NORTH EAST - Cecil Community College is offering a free information session about training options for careers in the allied health fields from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. March 2 in the Student Services Conference Room, on the ground floor of the Community Cultural Center on the College's North East campus.

The college offers full-time and part-time programs for medical assistants, medical coders/billers, hospital unit clerks, certified nursing assistants, medical transcriptionists and phlebotomists. For more information, call 410-287-6060, ext. 641 or ext. 760.
