Hopkins women top McDaniel in OT

Julie Miller hit a jumper with 30 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Johns Hopkins over host McDaniel, 81-80, in Centennial Conference action last night.

The loss ended a 20-game winning streak at the Gill Center for the Green Terror (19-3, 13-2), as well as a 15-game overall winning streak.

The Blue Jays (17-4, 12-2) avenged an earlier loss to the Green Terror.

Washington College 65, Haverford 54: Sophomore guard Regina Barrett (25 points) tied a school record by making seven three-pointersto lead the visiting Shorewomen (4-16, 3-11 Centennial Conference) past the Fords (4-16, 1-13).

Hood 68, College of Notre Dame 62: Danielle Allen grabbed the 1,000th rebound of her career in the first half of the Blazers" win over the Gators (8-12, 5-4 Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference). The host Blazers improved to 12-6 and 8-0.

Bowie State 83, Virginia Union 78: Rachill Robinson paced the host Lady Bulldogs (12-9, 7-4 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) with 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Frostburg State 78, Mount Aloysius 45: Tracey Little led the host Bobcats (18-4, 15-0 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference) with 16 points and 14 rebounds.


Mount Aloysius 91, Frostburg State 87: Daniel Ryley led the Bobcats (13-9, 8-7 AMCC) with 17 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks in their loss to the visiting Mounties (6-14, 4-10)
