Bowie men outlast Va. Union in OT

Isaiah Johnson made a free throw with one second remaining in overtime to give host Bowie State a 95-94 victory over Virginia Union in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's game last night.

Letheal Cook had game highs of 29 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs (18-3, 9-2), and Johnson added 18 points.

Duan Crockett led the Panthers (18-3, 9-2) with 23 points.

Mount Aloysius 91, Frostburg State 87: Daniel Ryley led the Bobcats (13-9, 8-7 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference) with 17 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks in their loss to the visiting Mounties (6-14, 4-10)

Women

Johns Hopkins 81, McDaniel 80: Julie Miller hit a jumper with 30 seconds remaining in overtime as the Blue Jays (17-4, 12-2 Centennial Conference) ended a 20-game home winning streak by the Green Terror (19-3, 13-2), which also had won 15 straight overall.

Washington College 65, Haverford 54: Sophomore guard Regina Barrett (25 points) tied a school record by making seven three-pointers to lead the visiting Shorewomen (4-16, 3-11 CC) past the Fords (4-16, 1-13).

Hood 68, College of Notre Dame 62: Danielle Allen grabbed the 1,000th rebound of her career in the first half of the Blazers' win over the Gators (8-12, 5-4 Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference). The host Blazers improved to 12-6 and 8-0.

Bowie State 83, Virginia Union 78: Rachill Robinson paced the host Lady Bulldogs (12-9, 7-4 CIAA) with 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Frostburg State 78, Mount Aloysius 45: Tracey Little led the host Bobcats (18-4, 15-0 AMCC) with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
