On January 30, 2005, surrounded by family in Milwaukee, WI, LEOTA L.; born in Superior, WI, May 9, 1912. She moved to Washington as a young woman and worked for the US Government while attending and completing law school. She was married to the late Harvey C. Donaldson on November 25, 1943. They lived in Washington, Baltimore, and eventually lived in Columbia at the Cove. Through the years, Leota devoted many hours to volunteering. She was founder and active with the Seton Guild. While in Columbia, Leota volunteered at St. John's Catholic Church and Howard County Hospital, where she received recognition for her many hours of service. Her interests included the arts, travel and World and National politics. Leota moved to Minneapolis, MN in 2001 to be closer to family. She is survived by nieces Joann (Joe) Wellmuth of Milwaukee, WI, Cathy Lue of St. Paul, MN, Patsy (Warren) Thiede of Bloomington, MN; nephews John (Chrisie) Lue of Cary, NC, Jim (Margie) Lue of Wildwood, NJ; 10 great nieces and nephews; and eight great-great nieces and nephews. An interment service will be held in Baltimore at a later date. Memorials preferred to Howard County Hospital Foundation, 5755 Cedar Lane, Columbia, MD 21044.
