June Radler, 68, cooked for church sisters

June Radler, a homemaker and longtime Severna Park resident, died of acute respiratory distress syndrome Jan. 29 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She was 68 and had lived in Rehoboth Beach, Del., for the past three years.

Born June Taylor in London, she moved to Maryland with her husband, Lawrence Radler, a National Security Agency employee, about 25 years ago. He died in 1999.

She enjoyed ice skating, cooking, home repairs and doing artwork, including painting and ceramics.

She attended St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Severna Park and often prepared meals for the sisters stationed there.

Services were held Thursday.

Survivors include a son, Scott Sobel of Leesburg, Va.; a daughter, Gayle Hubley of Severna Park; her mother, Christina E. Taylor of Millersville; and four grandchildren.
