Teubner, Marie Evaline

On Monday, January 31, 2005, MARIE EVALINE TEUBNER, 84, of Monterey died at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. She was born December 7, 1920 in Baltimore, MD, and was the daughter of the late George Henry and Mary Catherine Ulrich Strott. Mrs. Teubner grew up and lived most of her life in Baltimore and moved to Monterey in 1999. She served in the U. S Navy as a W.A.V. E in WWII and also was a certified pilot. In the summers she worked as Athletic Camp Director at Camp Red Wing in NY coaching all water sports. Mrs Teubner has also worked as a Clerk and Athletic Director at the Baltimore League for the Handicap and also as a receptionist and operator at North Charles General Hospital. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Edwards and Philip "Buck" Teubner. Surviving are a son, Richard Lee Edwards of MD, one daughter, Charline Tabatznik of Monterey, five grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Teubner body will be cremated at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Highland Medical Center, POB 490, Monterey, VA, 24465. URBAN, New Freedom, PA. Survived by her husband, Henry P. Urban, a daughter, Barbara Ann Freije, two sons, Joseph Sullivan and Michael John Urban, a sister, Jean Haddaway, five grandchildren and a great-grand-daughter. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2005, at 11:00 A. M from the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 Second Street, New Freedom, PA. Burial is in New Freedom Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday February 3 from 7 to 9 P.M.
