Mount Hebron High students raise funds to aid the needy

The Student Government Association and the National Honor Society at Mount Hebron High School distributed food, toiletries and gifts to 113 needy Howard County families this holiday season.

The students raised more than $10,000 and collected 54,500 cans of food in the school and community. The money was used to purchase $7,500 worth of food and $3,000 worth of soap, toilet paper and other items to be distributed with gifts purchased by members of the National Honor Society.
