Two rob bank in Columbia, flee

Two masked robbers held up yesterday the Bank of America in Columbia's Kings Contrivance Village Center, Howard County police reported.

The robbery occurred about 2:20 p.m. in the 8600 block of Guilford Road. One of the robbers, armed with a handgun, ordered customers and tellers to the rear of the bank and then demanded that the employees hand over the bank's cash.

The two robbers fled in a stolen car, which police found abandoned nearby. Police have not issued a description of the robbers or released the amount of money stolen.
