Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Robbery: A woman, 79, was walking in the rear of the 4200 block of Chatham Road about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man with a weapon robbed her of the groceries she was carrying and her purse.

Western District

Shooting: Malachi Wainwright, 19, was walking in the 2000 block of Bryant Ave. about 4 p.m. Wednesday when he was shot in the upper right leg by one of three men. Wainwright was in good condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Robbery: Police were seeking two men, one with a handgun, who robbed Michael Higgins, 22, of $43 inside Little Lantern Carryout in the 2000 block of Edmondson Ave. about 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Southern District

Burglary thwarted: A woman, 22, of the 800 block of Bethune Road was home about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when she observed a man she knows entering her home through a bedroom window. The woman sprayed the man with pepper Mace, and he fell from the window and fled.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Theft/arrest: A man who stole a digital camera and snacks from the Super Fresh in the 7700 block of Harford Road threatened a security guard Wednesday with two syringes, saying he had AIDS. The man initially escaped when the guard, Mark Schepers, backed off, but he was arrested nearby by police. Charged with robbery, assault, theft and resisting arrest was Andrew Robinson, 43, of the first block of Mopec Circle.

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking a gunman and his female accomplice who robbed a girl, 16, of $30 and a bag containing Christmas decorations about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday while the victim walked across the parking lot of Wal Mart in the 6400 block of Petrie Way.

Robbery: Two men posing as Comcast employees forced their way into a house in the 6000 block of Kenwood Ave. about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday and robbed three occupants at gunpoint of an undisclosed sum of money.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A man, 26, was walking along Chesapeake Avenue near York Road about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday when three teenage boys, one with a handgun, robbed him of $12.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: Copper piping valued at $7,000 was stolen from a building site at Franklin Middle School in the first block of Cockeys Mill Road on Dec. 17. The theft was reported Wednesday.- Richard Irwin
