In 3rd overtime, Goucher edges Cabrini, 105-104

James Russo hit a three-pointer in the closing seconds of the third overtime to give host Goucher a 105-104 victory over Cabrini (6-4) last night.

The game marked the longest game in the history of the Goucher men's basketball program.

Russo was one of six Gophers to score in double figures, leading the way with 20 points.

Jermaine Saunders scored 16 points for the Gophers.

The Gophers improved to 7-2 overall and 5-0 at home.

Women

Wake Forest 76, Loyola 50: The Greyhounds got within a point of the Demon Deacons early in the second half, but a 13-0 run gave host Wake Forest the edge.

Loyola fell to 2-7, while Wake Forest improved to 9-1.

Loyola was led by Jackie Valderas with 10 points.

Florida State 67, Towson 56: Junior Ganiyat Adeduntan's team-high 16 points and eight rebounds helped the Seminoles (10-0) to a second-round win in the San Juan Shootout.

LaShay Rose had a game-high 19 points for the Tigers (6-3).
