Player of the Year

Gabby Long, Bel Air

Long sparked the Bobcats' surprising season. The junior hitter came up with numerous big plays throughout and was the go-to player on offense.

Her consistent play up front was a big reason the Bobcats became one of the county's top teams.

Bel Air finished 11-3 after winning the Edgewood Tournament and taking second in the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference division.

Coach of the Year

Jen Skaggs, Bel Air

Skaggs helped turn the Bobcats around in her second year.

Bel Air stumbled to a 4-11 mark last fall, but the Bobcats improved to 11-3 this season despite losing five seniors from last year.

Skaggs credits 10 talented juniors who moved up from the junior varsity. "We just clicked as a team," she said.
