Offensive Player of the Year

Danny Bridges, F.S. Key

The 6-foot-5, 280-pound senior was the cornerstone of Francis Scott Key's run-oriented offense, which gained nearly 3,000 yards on the ground.

The Eagles consistently ran behind the imposing right tackle, darting through large holes on their way to a 9-3 record. His efforts helped Key's Layton Hersh, Matt Angell and Ryan Blanchette all finish among the county's top eight in rushing.

Also a standout on the defensive line, Bridges orally committed to attending Towson next fall.

Defensive Player of the Year

Dustin Walters, Liberty

Walters dominated on both sides of the ball for the Lions. As a tight end, he posted county bests of 52 receptions and 726 yards, scoring six touchdowns and four two-point conversions. As a linebacker, he recorded 63 solo tackles and 35 assists, with two sacks, two pass deflections, an interception and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

For his efforts, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound senior was voted first-team all-conference on offense and second-team on defense.

He is looking at several Division I-AA schools, including Delaware and William and Mary.

Coach of the Year

John Baugher, F.S. Key

Few teams were able to stop Baugher's prolific run-oriented offense, which racked up nearly 3,000 yards between the threesome of Layton Hersh, Matt Angell and Ryan Blanchette.

In his third season as head coach following 10 years as an assistant, the Randallstown native, who was a standout defensive back at both Mount St. Joseph and Salisbury State, directed his team to the Monocacy Valley Athletic League's Piedmont Conference title game, as well as a trip to the Class 2A state playoffs.

There, the Eagles knocked off North Hagerstown before falling to host Fort Hill in the regional finals.
