BALTIMORE CITY

Player of the Year

Brooks Webster, IND

The best player in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference this season, Webster is also the best player in Indians history, leading career charts for kills, blocks and accurate passing.

The 6-foot middle hitter had 369 kills, averaging 5.5 per game to lead the metro area, and she also had a phenomenal hitting percentage of .502. She had 133 blocks, an average of 2.42. Webster led the Indians to a 20-0 season and the A Conference title. She signed early to play at Alabama.

Coach of the Year

Bill Murray, IND

In Murray's fifth season as head coach, he guided the Indians to a 20-0 mark and the first Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland championship in school history for any sport.

Although the Indians had only three club players, Murray had other role players who emerged as solid contributors. Of course, it didn't hurt to have the IAAM's top player in Brooks Webster, who despite her dominance on the court, fit right into a strong team dynamic. Murray's career record rose to 79-16.
