Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Shooting: A 16-year-old male was shot in the back about 5:20 p.m. yesterday and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for a nonlife-threatening wound. Details were not available.

Eastern District

Theft/arrest: Police responding to a burglary in progress report in the 1300 block of N. Luzerne Ave. on Friday night spotted a man standing in the doorway. When searched, police found screws and a door bell belonging to a front security door that had been removed moments earlier. Police learned later that a second man was seen walking down the street carrying the door on his head. The door, valued at $1,000, was not recovered and the accomplice was being sought. Charged with burglary was Milton Morton, 36, of the 3900 block of Kenyon Ave.

Northwestern District

Theft: A car stereo radio, an amplifier and speakers -- valued at $559 -- were stolen over the weekend from a 1992 Honda Accord parked in the 5500 block of Wayne Ave.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery/arrests: Police arrested two people and were seeking two more for the armed robbery Friday night of a Rite Aid in the 12200 block of Tullamore Road. About 10 p.m., two men, one with a handgun, entered the store and forced an employee to give up money from a cash register. The pair also stole several cartons of cigarettes before fleeing in a 1992 Honda Accord occupied by two other people. Witnesses followed the car and gave directions to police by way of a cell phone. County police pursued the car south on Interstate 83 to West Northern Parkway, where they were joined by city police. At Pimlico Road, the car turned left and was stopped in the 4800 block of Park Heights Ave., where two people fled and two were arrested. Charged with armed robbery were Brandon Jamar Day, 22, of the 3500 block of Hayward Ave. and Toni Diane Quarrles, 45, of the 3600 block of Langrehr Road. Police said a gun was recovered near the scene of the arrests.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrest: A Northeast Baltimore man was arrested Saturday when he tried to leave Value City at Eastpoint Mall without paying for boots valued at $89. Charged with theft was Davon Neal, 24, of the 2800 block of Chesterfield Ave.

Towson Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A 1995 Mercury Mountaineer sport utility vehicle with tags M572085 was stolen Saturday from the second level of a garage at Towson Town Center in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: A laptop computer of unknown value was stolen between Dec. 5 and Dec. 8 from a house in the 7000 block of Plymouth Road. The burglary was reported Saturday.
