Henrietta Colvin, 60, day care provider

Henrietta Colvin, who ran an East Baltimore day care business, died of lung cancer Friday at the Stella Maris Hospice at Mercy Medical Center. The Johnston Square resident was 60.

Born in Chester, S.C., where she attended public schools, she moved to Baltimore in 1968. She was a licensed day care provider, operating at her East Eager Street home.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Mount Sinai Baptist Church, 922 E. Preston St., where she was a member.

Survivors include a son, Anthony Colvin, and two daughters, Tracey Colvin and Joyce Colvin, all of Baltimore; five grandchildren; and a great grandson.
