Robbery charges dropped against Bel Air man

December 08, 2004|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

All charges have been dropped against a man arrested in the alleged attempted holdup of an armored truck outside Harford Mall, the Harford County state's attorney's office said.

Oladeji O. Olaore, 27, of the 700 block of County Village Drive in Bel Air had been charged with armed robbery in the Nov. 18 incident.

According to a statement, State's Attorney Joseph I. Cassilly has "read several witness' statements and reviewed a mall security tape and can find no evidence that Mr. Olaore was in possession of a gun, assaulted the guard or demanded money."

A security guard who fired a shot in the incident will not be charged, Cassilly said. The bullet shattered a glass door.
