Patrick E. O'Malley Sr., 62, owned financing company

Patrick Edward O'Malley Sr., former owner of a Towson equipment-financing company, died of bone cancer Nov. 30 at Mariner Health of Bel Air Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was 62.

Mr. O'Malley was born and raised in Baltimore. He graduated from Loyola High School, attended Loyola College and was a military policeman with the Army during the 1960s in France.

For more than 25 years until retiring in 1995, Mr. O'Malley owned and operated an equipment-financing company that worked primarily in the printing industry.

The longtime Fallston resident enjoyed cooking, reading and traveling. He was a member of the Church of the Open Door in Westminster.

In 1985, he married Toni Kay Chandler, who died in 2001. His marriage to the former Gabrielle Marchal ended in divorce.

Services were held Saturday.

Mr. O'Malley is survived by a son, Patrick Edward O'Malley Jr. of Essex; two brothers, Edward O'Malley of Mount Dora, Fla., and Dennis O'Malley of Manassas, Va.; a sister, Kathleen Kilby of Forest Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
