Week Thirteen recap

December 06, 2004|By Ken Murray

EXTRA POINTS

NO DEFENSE

Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher should be applauded for taking extreme measures - two onside kicks in the first half, both of which the Titans recovered - against the Colts. And still, the Colts cruised by 27 points.

HE'S BACK

Bills QB Drew Bledsoe has revived his career with eight TD passes in his past three games after throwing only nine in the first nine games.

BAD CHOICE?

The Saints would have been better off trading QB Aaron Brooks and keeping Jake Delhomme, who passed for 294 yards against them.

VICK STOPPED

Bucs defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin, who has given Falcons QB Michael Vick some of his worst games, shut him out, with four turnovers.

PICKED OFF

Miami QB A.J. Feeley (5 interceptions vs. Bills) may have a better arm than Jay Fiedler, but he doesn't protect the ball nearly as well.

REFUELING THE JETS

QB Chad Pennington needed a half to shake off the rust, but his return makes the Jets a legitimate threat as a wild card in the AFC. Still, the MVP of the Jets clearly is RB Curtis Martin, who posted his seventh 100-yard rushing game this season.
