Business partnership breakfast meeting scheduled for Dec. 15

The BWI Business Partnership Inc. will hold its next "Spirit of Success" breakfast meeting at 7:45 a.m. Dec. 15 at the American Urological Association headquarters, 1000 Corporate Blvd. in Linthicum.

Speaker of the House Michael E. Busch will be the guest. He will discuss critical issues facing Maryland and the General Assembly.

BWI to hold story hours for children this month

There will be readings of popular children's books and holiday classics by a professional storyteller at Baltimore-Washington International Airport this season.

The Children's Storytelling Hour, a program by the airport's concessions operator, BAA Maryland, will be held from noon to 1 p.m. today and Dec. 13 and 20 in the children's play area on the upper level of the airport's main terminal, near the observation gallery between concourses B and C. Annapolis visitors bureau collecting food donations

The Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau kicked off its third annual holiday food collection Friday.

The goal is to collect 500 pounds of nonperishable food for the Salvation Army of Annapolis to be distributed to families in need.

Donations may be made through Dec. 22 at the visitors center, 26 West St. in Annapolis. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Information: 410-280-0445.

Tax assistance:

Pascal Senior Center needs people who enjoy working with numbers to assist seniors with the preparation of uncomplicated income tax returns. This is a temporary volunteer position at the center during income tax season, from next month to April. Training will be conducted by the Internal Revenue Service. 410-222- 6680.

Committee meeting: The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee will meet at 8 a.m. tomorrow at the chamber office, 7477 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Glen Burnie. 410-766-8282.

SCORE Meets: SCORE Chapter 390 will conduct a one-day seminar, "Let's Prepare a Business Plan" from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Big Vanilla Athletic Club, Community Meeting Room, 1209 Ritchie Highway, Arnold. The workshop teaches how to prepare a business plan and start developing the plan under the guidance of an expert. The fee is $50 and includes lunch. Advance registration suggested. 410-266-9553.
