City police investigating man's fatal fall from window of ex-girlfriend's house

December 04, 2004|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

A 46-year-old man trying to break into a second-story window of his ex-girlfriend's house fell to his death early yesterday, police said.

After tearing off a window screen, the man got into a struggle with the woman's estranged husband and fell to the ground outside the West Baltimore home.

"We're investigating it as a homicide, but no charges have been filed against the husband," said Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman.

Police did not release names yesterday of anyone involved in the incident. The man's family had not been notified of his death, Moses said.

About 3:30 a.m., the man climbed onto the roof of the home in the 1000 block of Bentalou St., police said. From there, he lowered himself onto the porch roof and was looking through a window.

He was pronounced dead at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
