Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Victim identified: Police identified Flenall Carter of the 1300 block of Slater Road in Cherry Hill yesterday as the man who was fatally shot in the head Wednesday night in the 4100 block of 10th St. in Brooklyn, on the eve of his 19th birthday. There was no arrest.

Drug arrests: Officer Chris Kazmarek was in a covert position about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday when he observed two men selling drugs in front of a vacant house in the 900 block of Coppin Court. The pair fled into another vacant house nearby when Kazmarek approached and was signaling an arrest team. Arrested there and charged with possession of cocaine and heroin with intent to distribute were brothers Tyron Askins, 22, of the 1000 block of W. Fayette St. and Correy Askins, 24, of the 800 block of Gretna Court. Recovered on the window sill of the Coppin Court house were more than 100 cocaine and heroin capsules. Police also seized $400 from the suspects.

Robbery: A gunman wearing a blue jogging outfit robbed General Nutrition Center in the 800 block of E. Fort Ave. of $100 about 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Southeastern District

Shooting: Police were seeking two teenage boys who shot a man in the back as he walked in the 400 block of N. Lakewood Ave. about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A 79-year-old employee was about to enter Pimlico Race Course through a gate on West Belvedere Avenue about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed him of $150.

Assault: Mya Ball, a security officer at Marshall's in the 6700 block of Reisterstown Road, was treated for minor injuries at Union Memorial Hospital after being kicked and struck by a male shoplifter she had tried to stop about 8 p.m. Tuesday. The man escaped.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Theft/arrests: Two Northeast Baltimore men were arrested Wednesday afternoon when they attempted to leave J.C. Penney at White Marsh Mall without paying for a cooking grill and bedding, all valued at $909. Charged with felony theft were Milton Spence, 36, of the 700 block of Richwood Ave., and Melvin Oliver, 38, of the 2700 block of Tivoly Ave.

Franklin Precinct

Robbery: A male passenger being dropped off at Tricount Court and Millpaint Lane in Owings Mills robbed a cabdriver of $200 at knifepoint about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking a man captured on tape entering Quizno's Subs in the 1800 block of York Road early Tuesday with a key and stealing nearly $1,000.
