Redshirt junior Kamillo Rosenthal hit two free throws with 55 seconds left to help Frostburg State to a 75-73 win over Shenandoah last night at Bobcat Arena.

The Bobcats (2-2) held a 72-63 lead with 4:29 to play before the Hornets (3-1) stormed back with a 10-0 run to take a one-point edge with 1:03 left.

Shenandoah senior Chris Rhone hit the final basket of the spurt but was whistled for a technical foul on the way back down the court.

Rosenthal's free throws gave the Bobcats a 74-73 lead and the Frostburg State defense held the Hornets' scoreless for the final 24 seconds. Rosenthal finished with 20 points.

Bobcats freshman Brian Owen came up with a steal with eight seconds left and hit one of two free throws to seal the win.

New York University 80, Washington College 45: The Violets (2-1) shot 51 percent from the field and held the visiting Shoremen (2-2) to 29 percent shooting en route to an easy victory.

Sophomore forward Joe Breslin led the way for the Shoremen with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Hood 76, Penn State-Altoona 57: The host Blazers (4-2) closed the game on a 25-6 run to beat the Lions (0-2).
