Howard Crime Report

The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

East Columbia

Treetop Circle: 6000 block, Long Reach. Someone stole a mountain bicycle from a garage; the garage door had been left open overnight between Nov. 17 and 18.

Stevens Forest Road: 5700 block, Oakland Mills. A pizza delivery driver was hit from behind and knocked to the ground after responding to a bogus delivery call late Nov. 23. Several people kicked and hit him before stealing cash and four pizzas.

Tamar Drive: 8800 block, Long Reach. A man was walking home about midnight Nov. 27 when two men approached, implied they were armed and demanded money. They took cash and fled on foot.

West Columbia

Ascending Moon Path: 6000 block, River Hill. Someone broke into a garage Nov. 17 and took video games from a parked vehicle.

Woodenhawk Circle: 5500 block, Harper's Choice. Someone forced open the door to a shed and stole a gas-powered scooter between Nov. 15 and 17.

Wincopin Circle: 10200 block, Town Center. Four juveniles were riding their skateboards when several people confronted them about 8:30 p.m. Nov. 26. The juveniles were ordered to empty their pockets, and a backpack, containing a digital video disc and a small amount of cash, was stolen. Four suspects were arrested later.

Ellicott City/Elkridge

Washington Boulevard: 6200 block, Elkridge. Someone approached a man, showed a knife and ordered the man to empty his pockets about 3 a.m. Nov. 21. The man handed over cash, and the assailant fled on foot on Montgomery Road.

Baltimore National Pike: 9300 block, Ellicott City. A man was pumping gas when he asked another person for cigarettes about 7 p.m. Nov. 19. The man punched the person in the face and took cash, and fled in a green Jeep with a female passenger.

Baltimore National Pike: 9000 block, Ellicott City. Someone pried open an interior door to an office and stole license tags from a Miller Brothers car dealership Nov. 18 or 19.

North Ridge Road: 3300 block, Ellicott City. Someone cut holes into the walls of several businesses at the office building at stole computer equipment late Nov. 20 or early Nov. 21.

Baltimore National Pike: 8400 block, Ellicott City. Officers responding to an alarm at a Ritz Camera store discovered that someone had stolen cameras and equipment early Nov. 29.

N. Laurel/Savage/Jessup

Mission Road: 8700 block, Jessup. Someone forced entry into a garage and stole three dirt bikes.
