Micros Systems Inc.

The maker of computer systems for restaurants advanced $1.37, or 1.9 percent, to $73.37 yesterday to polish off a 24 percent gain in November. The Columbia-based company said early last month that it would have to spend about $4 million to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and later announced a buyback of $1 million of its shares.


Taser International Inc.

The maker of stun guns added $1.98, or 7.8 percent, to $27.44, yesterday as it defended its product against calls by Amnesty International to suspend use of stun guns until more testing is done to determine their safety.
