Dorsey is elected local Red Cross' board chairwoman
Donna M. Dorsey, who is a registered nurse, has been elected chairwoman of the board of directors of the American Red Cross of Central Maryland.
The Howard County resident is executive director for the Maryland Board of Nursing and has served on numerous Red Cross committees.
Governor names Clements to technology task force
James P. Clements of Howard County has been appointed by Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. to a statewide task force charged with studying ways to increase the number of women in the information technology field.
He is vice president for economic and community development at Towson University.
Howard Bank appoints 2 new branch managers
Michele Healy, a graduate of Towson University who lives in Catonsville, has been appointed vice president and manager of Howard Bank's Snowden River branch, 6011 University Blvd., Ellicott City.
Before joining Howard Bank, Healy was vice president and manager of Sun Trust Bank's largest branch in Maryland.
Laura A. Okehie has been appointed vice president and manager of the bank's Hickory Ridge branch, 6430 Freetown Road, Columbia. The Ellicott City resident was most recently vice president and banking center director for Riggs Bank in Washington.
Founded this year, Howard Bank will focus on the needs of businesses and professionals in Howard County.
