Storytelling fest
In the age of video games and television, the age-old art of storytelling continues to thrive through events such as Saturday's Tellaboration! Held at Woodbrook Baptist Church, Tellaboration! has about 12 local storytellers performing for children and adults at separate times. They will tell stories for the family from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and stories for adults (attentive children are encouraged to stay) from 8:30 p.m to 11 p.m.
The Baltimore Folk Music Society hosts Tellaboration! 7 p.m.-11 p.m. Saturday at Woodbrook Baptist Church, 25 Stevenson Lane in Towson (three miles south of Beltway exit 25 south). Admission is $5 for children, $7 for BFMS adult members, $9 for nonmember adults, $16 for BFMS member families and $20 for nonmember families. Call 410-366-0808 or visit www.bfms.org.
