Why: Once a month, the Engineers Club throws open the doors of its stunning Mount Vernon mansion and invites would-be members in for a peek. And it is well worth a look. Be sure to gawk at the Tiffany stained-glass windows and the hardwood spiral staircase. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cash bar. Business dress required.
