Howard Bank names George Coffman to executive post
George Coffman has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Howard Bank. The bank officially opened in August.
As chief financial officer, Coffman oversees all of the corporate accounting, treasury, reporting and disclosure and taxation, the bank's asset liability management committee and financial planning activities. He also serves as the bank's chief investment officer and investor relations contact.
Coffman, a Howard County resident, has almost 20 years of senior management-level experience. He is a 1986 graduate of the University of Maryland and a certified public accountant.
HCC chooses alum Edison as men's basketball coach
Howard Community College Athletic Director Diane Schumacher has announced that Randolph Edison Jr. has been selected as the new head coach of the men's basketball team.
Edison came to the college as an athlete and student, playing basketball for Coach Wheeler Brown in the seasons from 1993 to 1995. He went on to receive a bachelor's degree in sociology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
