Where: Your neighborhood polling place. Look at your voter registration card, or if you've lost that, visit www. elections.state.md.us.

When: Anytime between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday. We recommend going early.

Why: Make your civic duty sexy and bring a date. Or, heck, bring more than one. Of course, only one person is allowed in the voting booth at a time. Voting is free of charge, and in most precincts you'll even get an "I Voted" sticker. It is limited to those who have registered and are 18 and older.

Information: President Bush and John Kerry will not be the only names on the ballot. To learn about referendum questions and candidates in local and statewide races, go to www.elections.state.md.us.
