Redeemer advanced to the championship game of the Maryland Christian Athletic League boys soccer playoffs yesterday with a 2-0 victory over CHEN.

The Royals put the game away in the first 10 minutes with goals from Chris Cruikshank and Kyle Chesser.

Redeemer's goalie, Ben Kelly, needed to make only two saves. CHEN's goalies, Jessie Terry-Hernandez and Joel Loftus, had two saves each.

Field hockey

No. 4 Bryn Mawr 2, Severn 0: Nina Emala and Stephanie Coyne scored in the first half as the host Mawrtians (15-1-4) clinched the top seed in next week's Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference tournament.

The win brought the league record of the Mawrtians to 10-1-3 and ended the Admirals' regular season at 3-10-1.
