Corrections

October 27, 2004

Because of incorrect information provided by Army officials, an article in yesterday's editions gave the wrong date for the opening to visitors of the new Reece Road gate at Fort Meade in Odenton. In fact, the gate opened to traffic yesterday.

In a Between the Lines item in Monday's editions of The Sun, Paralympics medalist Jessica Long's physical condition was incorrectly described. She is a double amputee.

A graphic accompanying a story on the Electoral College in Sunday's Perspective section listed an incorrect number of Electoral College votes that Vice President Al Gore would have received if the 2004 vote allocation had been in effect in 2000. Gore would have received 260 votes compared with George W. Bush's 278.

The Sun regrets the errors.
