Lockheed Martin Corp.The Bethesda-based aerospace giant added 88 cents to $54.38 as its growing information technology business offset a slumping space division. That helped Lockheed post a 41 percent jump in earnings., which beat analysts' forecasts by 4 cents a share.

NATIONALLY

Zimmer Holdings Inc.

The biggest maker of artificial hips and knees soared $4.17, or 6.1 percent, to $72.07. Its third-quarter profit rose 50 percent to $127.9 million on increased sales of orthopedic implants and spinal products.
