Gage appoints Hopkins merchandising manager

Gage Menswear appointed Bernard Hopkins as merchandising manager for the Baltimore-based men's clothing and accessories store chain. He is responsible for planning and purchasing apparel for the Baltimore-area stores.

Formerly a general merchandise manager and buyer with the Sunny's Great Outdoors chain, the Middle River resident is a business education graduate of the Community College of Baltimore.

Advancis Pharmaceutical names Anderson a VP

Advancis Pharmaceutical Corp. has named Dr. Donald C. Anderson vice president of discovery for the Germantown company. He will plan and direct all discovery and basic research programs, as well as provide strategic and operational input for development activities, clinical programs and registration strategies for clinical trials.

He earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and was formerly with Pharmacia as executive director of human genetics and pharmacogenomics.


3 named to posts at Shelter Group

The Shelter Group appointed Marty Josephs as regional vice president, Alan Siegfried as senior project director and Henry Johnson as regional property manager for the Baltimore-based apartment and retirement community developer.

Josephs oversees operations of the firm's 40 senior and multi-family facilities. A resident of Reisterstown, he holds an MBA from Temple University.

Siegfried, formerly with Choice Hotels International, is responsible for design development and project management. A engineering graduate of Lehigh University, he lives in Woodbine.

Johnson, a graduate of Delaware State University, is responsible for a portfolio of apartment communities in Maryland, Washington and Pennsylvania. Formerly with Wilder Richman Management Group, the Howard County resident is active with the Maryland Multi-Family Housing Association.

Poore joins NAI KLNB as marketing executive

NAI KLNB Management said Robin Poore joined the Baltimore-based regional asset and property management firm as an executive/marketing assistant. She will coordinate general marketing activities and generate proposals and presentation and supervise marketing campaigns. A graduate of the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, the Baltimore resident formerly was a benefits specialist with Millennium Chemicals.
