Networking chapter visitors' day slated for Wednesday

The Wednesday Morning Annapolis BNI (Business Network International) chapter will hold a visitors' day at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the meeting room at the Merritt Athletic Club, 1981 Moreland Parkway.

BNI's purpose is to provide a supportive environment for the development and exchange of quality business referrals. BNI chapters meet each week throughout the year for no more than 90 minutes. Coffee, juice, bagels and muffins are served.

Reservations should be made in advance by those planning to attend.

Arbor HealthCare Center to hold ribbon-cutting

Arbor HealthCare Center will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new addition from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 4 at 7101 Bay Front Drive, Annapolis.

A wine and cheese reception will include the ribbon-cutting ceremony with an assist from Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens. Hammer dulcimer musician Maggie Sansone will perform, and there will be an exhibition of the works of Joan Essex Johnson.

The Arbor HealthCare Center is part of Bay Woods of Annapolis, a full-service continuing retirement community on the Chesapeake Bay. The new fourth floor will add 17 studio apartments.

The Arbor offers comprehensive assisted-living, rehabilitative services, dementia/Alzheimer's care and skilled nursing and respite care. Services include 24-hour nursing care, fitness activities, staff to accompany residents for shopping or off-campus appointments, pharmacy services, special diets and medical care.
