On Monday, October 18, 2004, WILLIAM J. COYLE, Ph.D., age 46, formerly of Baltimore, MD, died at his home in Wilmington, DE, following a long illness. Dr. Coyle was a Principal with Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP, New York office, specializing in transfer pricing. He was the site leader of the New York Metropolitan Transfer Pricing Practice. Prior to joining Price Waterhouse in 1989, Dr. Coyle served as a consultant and expert witness for a variety of public and private sector organizations. He held a B.A. (Economics) from Ohio State University and a J.D. and Ph. D (Economics) from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the American Economics Association and American and Maryland Bar Associations. He was an avid private pilot and enjoy summers with his family at his home in South Bethany Beach, DE. Dr. Coyle is survived by his wife, Ellen Spurrier, MD; sons, William Paul and Peter Eugene; parents, William J. Sr. and Miriam Coyle; brothers, Kevin, Michael and Brian Coyle; and sisters, Kathleen Coyle, Mary Pat Hartline and Elizabeth Coyle. His mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Spurrier and fourteen nieces and nephews also share in the loss. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph on the Brandywine on Friday, October 22, 2004 at 10 A.M. Friends and family may call at CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 on Wednesday, October 20 from 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, October 21 from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 P.M. Interment will be held privately.
