Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Robbery: Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a Dollar Store in the 5400 block of York Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Eastern District

Robbery: Two men entered Andy's Mart & Deli in the 1900 block of E. Chase St. about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday and ordered chicken salad. Seconds later, one of them pulled out a handgun and ordered an employee onto the floor after assaulting him. Before the pair fled with an undisclosed sum from a cash register, one of them ripped a telephone from the wall.

Southern District

Shooting: Two men were shot about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday as they stood in the 2200 block of Annapolis Road. Treated at area hospitals were Tavon Donnell Sanders, 20, who was wounded in the left arm, and Paul Taylor, 25, who was shot in the left foot.

Western District

Arrest: Kweisi Mfume Battle, 21, of the 700 block of Dr. Benjamin Quarles Place, was arrested Monday in the 900 block of Bennett Place by district officers on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Battle is charged with shooting Ralph Timmons, 26, in the 900 block of Harlem Ave. on Aug. 24.

Shooting/arrest: Donta Newton of the 1600 block of E. 25th St.was arrested yesterday in the 2200 block of Linden Ave. by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Newton, 22, is charged with shooting Jerrell Potillo, 23, in the 800 block of N. Brice St. on Sept. 20.

Southwestern District

Burglary: An undisclosed sum of cash, jewelry and credit cards were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 800 block of Glen Allen Drive.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed a Subway sandwich store in the 8000 block of Pulaski Highway of an undisclosed sum of money about 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a Wendy's in the 100 block of Beacon Road by breaking through the drive-through window early Tuesday and attempted to open an office safe.

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: A man armed with a knife forced his way into a townhouse in the 3300 block of Kessler Court about 2 p.m. Tuesday, then robbed the 19-year-old occupant of $50 and a cell phone.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking two men who entered a house in the first block of Flaxton Court Tuesday afternoon while the male occupant was asleep in a second-floor bedroom and stole jewelry valued at $700. The occupant, he observed the two intruders fleeing the residence.
