On October 17, 2004, GEORGE E., beloved husband of A. Jeannette (nee Clonts), Goldschmidt and devoted father of Barbara L. Jacobson and her husband Al and Irene "Cookie" De Santis and the late Eric Goldschmidt, step-father of June Burger and Ben Waldon. Cherished grandfather of Justin and Dina De Santis, dear great-grandfather of Lauren De Santis. Also survived by other relatives and friends Friends may call at the family owned HARTLEY MILLER-STELLA FUNERAL HOME, CHTD, 7527 Harford Road on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. where services will be held on Thursday at 11 A.M. Interment in Parkwood Cemetery. GRINDELL (nee Davin) passed away just before her 89th Birthday and her 64th Wedding Anniversary. Edwardine is survived by her loving husband, Albert; her loving daughter, Maureen Ellen Grindell, of Albuquerque; her loving son, Don Kevin Grindell, of San Francisco; and her loving grandson, Mica Grindell-Holmes, of Albuquerque; her sister, Kathleen Meinert, of De Forest, WI; her sisters-in-law, Thelma R. Connolley, of Baltimore, MD, Muriel Davin, of Bel Air, MD and Lydia Davin, of Cottondale, FL, and by her many cherished nieces and nephews. In life, she was a loving, caring, kind wife, mother and grandmother (Nali). During World War II, she worked as a machinist and an employee counselor at Martin Aircraft in Middle River, MD. She supported her husband after WWII to graduate from Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburg, under the G.I. Bill. She raised her children in Oak Ridge, TN, where she participated in their school activities, the Multiple Sclerosis Society fund drives and in Planned Parenthood, because she believed in the latter's birth control work and philosophy.
