JANE M. (CARR) BUTOVA SALVON, 81 of Westfield, died Sunday, October 17, 2004 at a local nursing home. She was born April 2, 1923 in Portland, Oregon, daughter of the late Owen T. and Katherine (Vedder) Carr. She lived in Springfield for thirty years, moving to Maryland in 1968 and has lived in the Westfield area since 1994. Jane was a US Navy Wave during WWII and was a secretary at American International College in Springfield for several years. She was a former member of the Westfield Women's Club and was an avid golfer. She was the widow of Henry A. Butova who died in 1965 and Ralph L. Salvon who died in 1988. Jane leaves her children Barbara Powell and her husband James of Feeding Hills, Thomas Butova and his wife Jane of Westfield and Patricia Frasca and her husband Eugene of Cockeysville, MD. She also leaves a sister Katherine Carr of Portland, Oregon and seven grandchildren. The funeral with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery in Springfield will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations in Jane's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. 1850 York Road Suite B, Timonium, MD 21093.
