On October 14, 2004, MARY J. ADDISON, born in Montclair, NJ, February 14, 1925, attended Kimberly Academy in Montclair and graduated from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, VA. For years she participated in the coaching of tennis and girls hockey at Queen Anne School, Leland. She was an avid tennis player, loved to sail on her boat "Mercy Me" and looked forward each week to bridge game in Upper Malboro. She was Past President of Forest Garden Club, Prince George's County and a member of St. Barnabas Church. She is survived by her husband, William B. C. Addison and was two weeks short of 54 years of marriage. She is also survived by her seven children, William B. C. Addison, Jr. and wife Beverly, Deborah W. Addison Holland and her husband Gill, Joseph Addison and his wife Kim, Suzanne D. Addison Sheahan and her husband S. P., Walter D. Addison and his wife Cathy, Charles H. J. Addison and his wife Amy and Eleanor Bowie Addison Hickson and her husband Whit. Her proudest possessions were her fourteen grandchildren, who also survive. A Service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2004, 11 A.M. at St. Barnabas Church, Upper Malboro, MD. Burial to follow at Trinity Church Cemetery, Upper Marlboro, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johns Hopkins Medicine, Department of Gerlatrics, 100 N. Charles Street, Suite 440, Baltimore, MD 21201 or St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 14111 Oak Grove Road, Upper Malboro, MD 20774.
