Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Arrest: An off-duty Baltimore schools police officer was in the 3400 block of Greenmount Ave. about 9 p.m. Tuesday when he saw a man give a woman a plastic bag containing a gun. He alerted district Officer Freddie DeGraffinried, who approached her and took a loaded .357 Dan Wesson-model revolver from her. Arrested on a weapons charge was India Nicole Bragden, 19, of no fixed address. The man who gave it to her was being sought.

Eastern District

Shooting: Police responding to a report of a shooting in the 1200 block of N. Potomac St. about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday found Thomas MacKenney, 19, on the front porch of a house in the nearby 1200 block of N. Decker Ave. bleeding from three gunshot wounds. He was reported in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Robbery: A man was riding a Kymco 1.5-hp motorized scooter in the 300 block of E. 20th St. about 4 p.m. Tuesday when he was knocked to the ground by two men. They robbed him of the scooter, a cell phone and $290 - one riding off on the bike while the other fled on foot.

Western District

Stolen vehicle: When the brakes failed Monday on a woman's 1995 Mercury van, she left it parked in the 1700 block of Riggs Ave. When she returned Tuesday, the van with tags 118M837 had been stolen.

Southwestern District

Carjacking: A man, 38, was driving in the 2100 block of N. Forest Park Ave. about 11:20 p.m. Monday when he stopped for a man standing in traffic. The man pulled out a gun and ordered the motorist out of the car, a 2002 Honda Accord with tags 047 BKK. The gunman was joined by two men and drove off.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Bank robbery: Two men robbed Hamilton Federal Bank in the first block of W. Pennsylvania Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday after one of them gave a teller a holdup note.

Essex Precinct

Home invasion: Police were seeking two men, one with a handgun, who forced their way into a house in the 1600 block of Gail Road about 7 a.m. Tuesday and demanded money from the female occupant. After a struggle with her, the pair fled without taking money or property.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: An elderly woman was standing outside her home in the 2900 block of Grendon Lane about 11:20 a.m. Tuesday when a man asked for directions. Before she could reply, he shoved her to the ground and stole her purse with $16 and personal items.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Someone broke into Sanders' Corner restaurant in the 2200 block of Cromwell Bridge Road early Tuesday through a door off the deck and stole more than $200.
