Cheap Date

Scene: Clubs/Bars/Nightlife

October 14, 2004|By Annie Linskey

Where: The Baltimore Convention Center, 1 W. Pratt St, Exhibit Hall E

When: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. tomorrow; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

Why: Because some of the best dates are nondates. Or so-called nondates. Work downtown? This could be the perfect opportunity to oh-so-subtly ask that cutie in marketing to browse the arts and crafts on display during lunch. Or it could be a charming Sunday afternoon affair. More than 35 artists will show paintings, jewelry, sculpture and mixed-media works. Admission is $9, and $6 for students and senior citizens. Children under 12 are admitted free.
